Spinal Alignment Can Improve Your Overall Health

Having your spine in a proper alignment and natural posture can help take pressure off joints of the spine and muscles attached to the spine. Also, a proper aligned spine can take tension off the spinal cord, spinal nerves, and the autonomic nervous system running along the spine. All of these allow your body to function better, improving your health and well-being.

A recent case study published in the Journal of Molecular and Genetic Medicine had an objective to “present a prospective case study on the increase of telomere length, improvement in nocturnal polyuria, neck and mid-back pain, autonomic nervous system adaptability, health-related quality of life following correction of the sagittal cervico-thoracic spinal alignment and posture using chiropractic biophysics technique.” The study was performed on a 35 year old female and treatment lasted 5 months. Treatment consisted of chiropractic adjustments to the spine, traction and posture exercises.

After the active care was completed the patient had lengthened telomeres, improved nocturnal polyuria, decreased neck and mid-back pain, improved quality of life, and improved autonomic nervous system adaptability.
